"Fossil Future: Why Global Human Flourishing Requires More Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas—Not Less" is a systematic analysis of our energy future from a human flourishing perspective
The title of the section "The Impossibility of an Unlivable Earth" was particularly thought provoking for me. Can you share some of this section pre-release?
Alex, you are a Force of Nature for Fossil Fuels, Climate Research, and Human Freedom/Flourishing. What an amazing resource this book will be. Would love to see you release the following sections as a preview: The Error of Catastrophizing and The Impossibility of an Unlivable Earth.
Alex - your idea of a "knowledge system" is interesting. It seems to be a theme that pervades the entire book. If you could release or talk about the key passages that explain what you mean by "knowledge system," how you observe it, how you identify its components, that might be helpful in understanding knowledge systems of other disciplines like economics or foreign policy or public health.
This looks outstanding. I think stuff on climate mastery is very, very powerful. I pre-ordered my copy last year and can't wait to get it in the mail.
I’m looking forward to this: Chapter 10: Maximizing Flourishing Through Energy Freedom
