I wish our friends to the North would wake up.

Agree. I live up here in the North and I wish sanity would return to our leadership. I struggle trying to understand how this irrational fear of atmospheric warming and an irrational attribution conclusion has had such a strangling effect on our fossil fuel industries.

Thank you for this Alex. As Canadian who lives along with my extended family in oil&gas rich Alberta what's unfolding is a real tragedy. It's generally agreed that the past 10 years of Liberal party rule has been disastrous for Canada mostly as a result of uncontrolled spending and policies driven by, as you say, fear of global warming. I couple months ago the Party would have been soundly defeated but with a new leader and a successful push to make the election about Donald Trump instead of policy they will very likely win today.

I personally believe most people’s lives have become so comfortable because of fossil fuels they do not believe it will go away. Net Zero and climate catastrophe are exactly the policies that can force this upon them and us. It’s truly amazing how many people believe in climate catastrophe. They are feed misinformation on the daily news, the weather channel, Google, etc. We are losing many people because they don’t care to educate themselves and be intellectually honest about how miserable life would be without fossil fuels. Alex, your books should be read by everyone, they are fabulous!

Alas, this is what a country run by children and ideologues looks like. Truly a shame.
