I personally find it offensive when people call a rational thinker like Alex a "climate denier". It a clear reference to a horrific chapter in human history, and it is appalling that people are allowed to even use the term in today's world.

Great work you’re doing Alex and so especially important that you’re reaching these young audiences. I have just returned from an extended train journey in Canada. The long journey allowed me interact with very interesting people over extended periods. One evening I was conversing with several fellow

passengers one of whom was an MP from the Green Party representing a riding on Vancouver Island. Her husband had just returned from Dubai where he was an attendee at the COP28 climate conference. I was astounded at the level of messianic misinformation this COP28 attendee was pronouncing with a religious certainty of climate apocalypse. My first encounter with a charter member of the climate crisis choir, but of course you wouldn’t be attending those conferences if you didn’t belong to that church. Having read FF and followed your blogs for some time, I was able to stand my ground. Nonetheless I thank you for your valuable perspective and ability to have real positive influence. I say that because these climate evangelists are very well entrenched in centers of power, very well financed, and absolutely certain of their moral superiority... at present the odds seem stacked against people such as yourself but I am optimistic your views will eventually prevail because the facts of science, economics and peoples’ innate understanding of pro-humanistic morals are on your side.

The climate change narrative has convinced people today (especially younger people) that today’s adverse weather events (hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves, convective storms) never occurred in the past. The media industry is complicit in perpetuating this narrative. Anyone who has studied weather history -- especially historical newspaper accounts of 19th century events -- would quickly conclude that the earth has always been a dangerous place. Climate change may make events 5% worse, but CO2 reduction will never eliminate these natural weather events.
