The “green energy” movement is celebrating a technical breakthrough in nuclear fusion, in order to distract from the catastrophic consequences of its anti-fission, anti-fossil-fuel policies.
Alex is right: the “fusion miracle” is important science, but we should be concentrating on tihe miracles already achieved, which are fossil fuels and fission technology.
Alex, why is there not more publicity about France’s nuclear power profile? Is their nuclear share of electrical power close to 20%? Also if nuclear waste is such a problem what are the french doing with all that waste?
